Full-Time Training - Testimonies

A Fragrance of Christ, Emily Liu

I grew up in a Christian home. Throughout the years of growing up, I gradually began to love the Lord. When I was about seventeen years old, I heard about the Full-Time Training. I immediately had a heart to go there after college to be trained for the Lord.

During my junior year in college, a group of full-time trainees from Taipei, Taiwan came to visit the believers in the church in Irvine. Because my house is near the meeting hall, they stayed in my house one afternoon.

I met several trainee sisters in the Lord and began to talk to them. There was one sister who I particularly remember because I was so attracted by her. She had something that I cannot describe, a kind of fragrance from her that I don't have. She did not talk about the Lord to me, but in her smile, her talking, her person, and everything of her I sensed Christ. Though I didn't realize it at the time. But later, after I read 2 Corinthians 2:14 and 15, I realized that the fragrance she had was the fragrance of Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14 and 15 say, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ and manifests the savor of the knowledge of Him through us in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God in those who are being saved and in those who are perishing.”

After I realized that the fragrance of Christ is so sweet, I aspired to have this fragrance of Christ myself. I realized that the Full-Time Training must be a place of producing such persons who have a fragrance of Christ. This experience confirmed my desire to go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim.
